A book-block block - glued together in the hopes that I can cut off just the spines, in something of a sheet. Wish me luck.

And an uncertain piece... I like the nest, but I don't know about the rest of it...

Put the finishing touches on the dartboard piece! Feels good to have another piece done, although I haven't yet any idea what it's title will be. Funny how sometimes the titles come before the piece is made, and sometimes the titles are a complete afterthought.

I like the white books piece ~ the heaviness of it, the nest, and the teeth. Lovely. :)
Maybe I should have put it in the recent show...
If I saw that in a show I would swoon. And I also love the stack of books: they look like they are waxed together. I like them like that. Have you cut the ends off yet? What are you making with that?
Love your work.
Very kind of you to say so!
Unfortunately, nothing has happened with that stack of books yet. The things that I felt weren't finished were set aside, and I've hardly been back to my studio since! I'm feeling horribly guilty about it, but it's just one of those down-times for me.
It doesn't help that I am 8 months pregnant, and only have enough energy to putter about the house and garden lately.
I saw your shop and enjoy your work very much, too! How'd you come across my blog - I'm always curious how paths cross in the virtual world...
Hmmm, I came across your blog because you left a comment on sweet as a loon bird's post. And your picture and what you said was interesting. :) Simple! :)
My husband is carting tent and dogs out the door as I speak ~ we're off camping and then to the beach, so I'm off! Would love to continue chatting later!! Best of luck with your studio work and with being 8 months pregnant (and you wonder where your creative energy went? :)
